Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland serves more than 16,000 girls and adults in 80 Kansas counties through its operational headquarters in Wichita, Kan., and regional offices. Girl Scouting builds girls of Courage, Confidence and Character, who make the world a better place. Girl Scouting offers programs designed to both reflect today's issues and help girls prepare for tomorrow. Girls ages 5-17 can join as a troop member or an independent Girl Scout to have fun, develop skills, make new friends and learn through community service to take responsibility for their role in their community. Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is able to provide these leadership development opportunities thanks to wonderful volunteers who make it all possible. These volunteers can be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors. The types of opportunities are varied and there are enough possibilities to reach many different interests.
